Mary Ann said the dinner prayer tonight. It went something like this:

Dear God, I want my mommy to come home. Please find her heart soon.

It makes me teary eyed that I can’t be there for her. At the same time I count my lucky stars that my inlaws, Bob and Susan, can be there in my place to maintain my kids routine.

I had surgery yesterday to put in a balloon pump. It assists the pumping function of my heart. I’m still quite sore. I can also feel every time the balloon inflates and deflated (of which I’m really not a fan). They took the swan out today so I’m glad not to be attached to quite as many tubes!

Each day is a little better. I’m ready for me new heart just like Mary Ann. Thank you for all of your love and support!!

Courage, dear heart.  ~C.S. Lewis
